SIZE GUIDE
STEP-BY-STEP MEASUREMENT GUIDE
Accurate measurements are the foundation of a perfect fit. Follow this step-by-step guide before consulting our size charts — it takes less than 5 minutes and ensures you choose the right size every time.
Use a flexible fabric or plastic tape measure — not a metal ruler or rigid tape. It should bend around your body without resistance.
Measure in your underwear or very light, form-fitting clothing. Thick layers add volume and will result in an incorrect size.
Keep the tape snug but not tight — you should be able to slip one finger underneath. Don't suck in your stomach or tense your shoulders.
The most important measurement for blazers and jackets. This determines your primary size.
Stand straight with your arms relaxed at your sides. Wrap the tape measure horizontally around the fullest part of your chest, just under your armpits and across your shoulder blades. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and level all the way around. Breathe normally — do not expand your chest.
Used to cross-reference your chest size and ensure proportional fit through the torso.
Find the natural crease when you bend slightly to the side — that is your natural waist. Wrap the tape around this point, keeping it horizontal and level. The tape should sit comfortably snug, not compressed. This is usually 2–4 inches above your belly button.
Critical for structured garments. An ill-fitting shoulder cannot be tailored — this measurement must be accurate.
Stand naturally with your arms at your sides. Locate the bony point where your shoulder meets your arm — this is your shoulder tip. Measure straight across your back from one shoulder tip to the other. The tape should follow the line of your shoulders, not dip into the neck. Ask someone to assist for best accuracy.
Determines how the jacket falls on your body. Jacket length affects the overall silhouette significantly.
Starting at the highest point of your shoulder (where it meets your neck), measure straight down along your back to where you'd like the jacket to end — typically at the base of the thumb when your arm is hanging naturally. Keep the tape vertical and close to your body.
This is your pants size — measure at the waistband level, not your natural waist.
Place the tape around your body at the level where your trousers sit — typically just below your natural waist and above your hips. Keep it horizontal and parallel to the floor. If you already own a pair of trousers that fit well, you can measure the inside of the waistband flat instead.
Ensures the trousers pass comfortably over your hips and seat without pulling or excess fabric.
Stand with your feet together. Wrap the tape around the widest part of your hips and seat — approximately 7–9 inches below your natural waist. Keep the tape level and horizontal all the way around. Make sure it passes over the fullest point of your glutes.
Particularly relevant for slim-fit trousers — ensures freedom of movement without excess bulk.
With your leg slightly relaxed (not flexed), wrap the tape around the widest part of your thigh — about 2 inches below the crotch seam. Keep the tape snug but not compressing the muscle. Measure your dominant leg (usually the right).
Determines how long the trouser leg is. Our trousers are designed to break slightly at the shoe.
Stand barefoot or in the shoes you intend to wear. Place the tape at the crotch seam (inner leg, top) and measure straight down to your ankle bone. If measuring alone, you can measure a well-fitting pair of trousers flat — from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg along the inseam.
The primary sizing measurement for shirts. Wrap the tape horizontally around the fullest part of your chest, just under the arms.
Stand upright with your arms slightly lifted. Pass the tape under your armpits and across the widest part of your chest. Lower your arms naturally. The tape should be snug — you should feel light resistance but no compression. Breathe normally and read the measurement.
Ensures the shirt sleeve reaches the correct point on your wrist — typically ending just at the wrist bone.
Bend your arm slightly at the elbow. Starting from the centre back of your neck, measure over your shoulder and down your arm to your wrist bone. Alternatively, measure from the shoulder seam tip straight down to the wrist with your arm straight. Always measure with the arm slightly bent for the most accurate result.
